Whilst still remaining true to our founding principle of open-access for all performers, the Fringe has come a long way since its organisational beginnings in a disused pub with a leaky roof just off the Royal Mile.We now sell over 1.6 million tickets worth more than £10m, and employ a year-round full-time staff of 13 which increases to around 120 in August.f you're looking for the low-down on the Fringe Society itself and the services it provides throughout the year for performers and public, you're in the right place. On this part of the website you'll also be able to find information on who we are, where we came from and what we're up to...

| DRAGON LADY: BEING ANNA MAY WONG. Will be performing at Venue 348, C Soco Building on Chambers Street throughout the festival from 30th July to 25th Aug (Not 12th), 5:10pm everyday Alice Lee-actor/producer - PR Cal Wynter of Green Room Presents on 0207 669 4103 or enquiries@greenroompresents. DRAGON LADY: BEING ANNA MAY WONG is a one woman show about the 1930s Hollywood film star, Anna May Wong. Born in Los Angeles, Anna May Wong (1905 – 1961) had always dreamt of being a movie star. Like many “coloured” actors in Hollywood, she struggled to break through the glass ceiling. It would be decades before she finally starred in roles outside the stereotypical demure butterfly or villainous vamp to eventually become the first Chinese American film star to achieve international acclaim. DRAGON LADY: BEING ANNA MAY WONG brings to life the battles the film star fought and the sacrifices the woman made. An inspirational story of the groundbreaking icon Anna May Wong. |
