AESOP THE STORYTELLER
Leon Conrad
A comic blend of modern slang and archaic phraseology transports us to the timeless world of Aesop and his fables. Aimed at children, but containing enough food for thought to satisfy adults, this show is in the no frills tradition, relying solely on gestures, voice and the odd atmospheric lighting effect. Poet and performer Leon Conrad interweaves the fables with stories of Aesop’s life, and, despite some confusing overlapping, Aesop emerges as a symbol of freedom. Rhyme and an array of regional accents carry us through the winding narrative that encompasses Aesop’s rise and fall, from slave, to revered sage, to ostracised prisoner. This ambitious, eclectic piece demands an attentive listener; children in the audience obliged the emphatic Conrad and reaped the rewards.

Chapmans Limited invested $250,000 into the Australian entities belonging to the INL News Group as venture capital funding. This has now paid off handsomely with Chapmans ending up with 40% of the new INL movie Attempt 3.4.
Attempt 3.4 the film is expected to be one of the most highest revenue earners in the film world in 2008,with expected gross sales at the box office and video sales expected to reach over $US1 billion.

Ellen Cribbs wrote the romantic comedy in honour of her British boyfriend, who is now her producer as well as an audience member. The cast consists of actors from four different countries who are all students of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
Five girls. One guy. Lucky man! Or maybe not... Mark is looking for 'the one', but must choose from one of the five beautiful and talented ex-girlfriends he let slip through his
fingertips.
The audience controls the ending of this feel-good comedy by voting for which girl Mark inevitably tries to win back. With five alternate endings, the performers are always on their toes!
