The many faces of Sarjeela Kersho the famous UK comedian, actress,
promoter of comedy, MC, behind the Spirit of the Fringe
Click her for more information on SAJEELA Kershi and her COMIC ANGELS! http://www.myspace.com/comicangels

USA Weekly News Award Winner Nik Coppin gets in with the Spirit of Alex Petty's Free Fringe Festival at the Espionage at 7.20 pm

1. Sarjeela Kersho, well known English comic, writer, actress, MC and promoter of Comedy who runs a comedy group called Comic Angels. Sarjeela is certainly an angel and a funny one at that...Sarjeela Kersho has two shows at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. One is the Spirit of the Fringe, which is a show Sarjeela hosts and is a showcase of 2009's spirits of the fringe including stand-up, sketches, bite sized show tasters, gossip, star interviews and Sarjeela's unique speed promoting event to help punters decide what shows to see. Sarjeela was a winner of a 2008 If. Comedy Spirit of the Fringe Award. Spirits of the Fringe is a must see show for audiences and performers and is on at an ideal time of 10.25 pm at the Counting House catch up on all the latest gossip around the fringe, find out which are the hot shows to see and have a few end of the night drinks at the Counting House to cap a great fringeday off. Sarjeela Kersho, also has her own show at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Fest called Bitch Got Ownedand is directed by Catherine Harvey. The Bitch Got Owned was previously seen in Brendon Burns' 2007 IF. Comedy Award winning show and is being performed at 5.10pm in the Kasbar Room in the Esionage, venue 185, 4 India Buildings, Victoria Street, Edinburgh. "Vilified on You Tube, thrown out of the House of Commons, unwittingly inviting a BNP member in for tea...These are just a few of the pickles Sarjeela Kersho has found hereself in. Now she reveals the real woman behind the Asian provocateur." 'Will be a big name in Comedy**** One4review. "Sarjeela is really heading for the bright lights. and well deserves an over five star review with a recommendation to on the list for serious consideration for a USA Weekly News 100 Star Award ..." USA Weekly News
Another great show to see is the Cubicle on at 3.25pm at the Counting House-devised from people's thoughts on toilet doors, we see snippets of a selection of bizarre characters obsessions, heartbreak and gneral crudeness. The piece is entirley collaborative and gives a new twist to the phrase 'toilet humour'. The Cubicle is followed by another free fringe show not to be missed, 'the 80's Movie Flashback' , a comic look at your 80's movie characters and where they are now, starring Rachel Anderson, Rik Moore and Fraser ( BBC Radio I's 'My Flatmate the comedian')....'Fabulously funny original gags'..(Chortle.co.uk).
2 Sarjeela Kersho introduces one of the perfomers at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Fest during the a show show hosts called "The Spirit of the Fringe" which is on every night at the Counting House at about 10pm which provides the general pubic and people involved with other fringe shows a chance to view short taster previews of other shows and find out what are the hot shows being performed at Alex Petty's Free Fringe and other fringe shows during the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Fest.
3, 4 and 5. The cast from Death Of A Samurai excited about their USA Weekly News 100 Star Award for being an exceptional show that is way above the ordinary five star standard for a Fringe Performance. In 2006 the SA Weekly News created the USA Weekly News 100 Star Award for fringe shows that are way above the average five star standard as the fringe equivalent to an Academy Award of the Fringe. The first fringe shows to receive a USA Weekly News 100 Star award in 2006 was Love Labours Won, a Shakespearean verse style play with Black Adder style comedy, written by the up and coming playwright-Singer Songwriter, Ryan J Smith. The Editor for the USA Weekly News described Love Labours Won as "Trendy Shakespeare" and stated in the review that "if there were 100 stars available to give Love Labours Won, I would have to give this show 100 Stars". From then on the USA Weekly News 100 Star Award was born. The USA Weekly News tries to review as many shows a possible each year that perform in all the various segments of the Edinburgh Fringe Fest, such as Street Buskers, the Free Festival, The Free Fringe Festival, the Five Pound Fringe, and all the other venues where there is a few charged to see a fringe show. There is a misconception that just because a fringe show does not have a set price tag in it, such as the the free fringe shows and street theatre, that such shows are not as good as the paid ones. It seems that the the Scotsman, Three Weeks, The List, USA Weekly News, the Fringe Shows Have Talent Team, and other fringe reviewers, have discovered the some of the most outstanding talent can be found amongst the free fringe shows and street theatre busking. At the Edinburgh Fringe Fest, you have to keep your eyes open, as you never know when you are going to find that absolute Gem, where you will instantly say to yourselves that this act will be on the world entertainment circuit before long.
6. The Office Girls doing their slightly dirty but fun office talk at the Shaggers Show histed the the famous and funny Nik Coppin held at about 11pm at the Counting House most nights at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Fest as part of the Free Festival.
Nick Coppin a USA Weekly News Award Winner

also has is own show called Loguacious being performed at 7.20pm at the Espionage venue 185, 4 India Buildings, Victoria Street, Edinburgh. Nik Coppin was described by Funny Tonne 2008 "Quick on his feet, Coppin is talented and spntaneous".."immensly funny likeable and refreshing uncynical"....www.chortle.co.uk, Edinburgh 2008.
"Nik Coppin seems to stir up the mob to a frenzy where ever he performs...no one is spared as Nik makes the audience explode..as Nik builds up a love-hate relationship wiht his aufdience.. a punch up is always possible at Nik's shows... Nick Coppin was immediately given a USA Weekly News over five star rating, however after the USA Weekly News editorial team reveived his performance on film a number of times, Nik has been awarded a USA Weekly News 100 Star Award...." Crowds leaving the Military Tatoo helf each year in Edinburgh and down the Royal Mile to see their favourite blues singer-musician Ronnie Rootsie of the Rootsie Tootsie Blues Band performing his USA Weekly News Award blues music in the Royal Mile.
Local Edinburgh Boy - Edinburgh Royal Mile Street Blues singer-Muscian Ronnie Rootsie a USA Weekly News 100 Star Award Winner

Ronnie Tootsie performs every night during the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Fest in the Royal mile between about 7pm till 10 pm

.." After comparing film file footage of Ronnie Rootsie with the best blues musicians and singer in Austin Texas, the home of the best musicians and singer in the world, Ronnie is as good as it gets. an Edinburgh local lad..who has only been playing for about 40 years, Ronnie Rootsie is simply a world class blues act, even with the backing of his Rootsie Tootsoe Blues Band .. Ronnie Rootsie has the pain, soul, depth, beat, hurt that a real blues singer and musician needs..Ronnie may just be a street busker in the Royal Mile and not be part of what the organisers of the Edinburgh Fringe Fest see as an official part of the Edinburgh Fringe Fest, not having the £500 plus needed to be included in the Official Edinburgh Fringe Program, the £1,300 plus to be on the www.edfringe.com web site and/or the fees to have the right to perform during the day, that the Festival Fringe Society Limited collect over £3 million from in advertinsing and right to perform fees each year from the performers at the Edinburgh Fringe Fest...however having discovered Ronnie Roosie in the Royal Mile...Ronnie Rootsie was an obvious choice for a
USA Weekly News 100 Star Award....." USA Weekly News
